Dubai Medical University Welcomes CEO of CLICKS: Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou

Dubai Medical University (DMU) was pleased to welcome Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou, Founder and CEO of the Center for Learning Innovations and Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS), on Wednesday, 23 December 2025.
During her visit, Dr. Hadj-Hamou met with Prof. Sherief Khalifa, Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs and Prof. Ibrahim Elsayed, Vice Chancellor – Quality Assurance & Institutional Effectiveness. The meeting included detailed discussions on governance, strategic planning, teaching & learning, and leadership in higher education.
Dr. Hadj-Hamou is a distinguished leader in higher education development in the region. She previously served as Assistant Chancellor for Learning and Academic Development (Provost) at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, where she played a major role in establishing and leading the academic, research, and e-learning vision of the first fully online university accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
She serves as a consultant to several UNESCO regional offices, and the founder of several prominent regional initiatives, including the Middle East eLearning Association (MEeA), the MENA Association of University Presidents, and the MENA Higher Education Leadership Forum.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to education, Dr. Hadj-Hamou was listed by Forbes Magazine in 2015 among the 200 Most Powerful Arab Women, received the Arab Women Award for Education in 2016, and was honored with the Influential Educational Leader Award at the University of Cambridge in 2017.
