Dubai Medical University College of Pharmacy Hosts Faculty Development Session on From Molecule to Medicine: Navigating the Path from Research to Patients
The College of Pharmacy at Dubai Medical University conducted a Faculty Development Session titled “From Molecule to Medicine: Navigating the Path from Research to Patients,” delivered by Dr. Amira Khalil, Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, on Wednesday, 26/11/2025.
Dr. Amira, who has over 15 years of academic and research experience in Canada and Egypt, delivered an informative session highlighting the journey of drug discovery—from molecular design to patient care. She drew on her expertise in drug design, carbohydrate chemistry, and advanced bioanalytical methods, as well as her work on patented technologies and cancer-related research projects.
Faculty members from the College of Pharmacy (COP) and other colleges attended the session and engaged in a productive discussion on research translation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
