DMU College of Pharmacy Faculty Participate in the 17th Global Digital Pharma, Clinical Trials & Drug Delivery Conference

Dubai Medical University, College of Pharmacy, participated in the 17th Global Digital Pharma, Clinical Trials & Drug Delivery Conference, held from December 17–19, 2025, at Novotel Al Barsha, Dubai, UAE, with the active contribution of two faculty members as invited speakers: Prof. Naglaa Gamil Shehab and Dr. Zahraa Khalifa from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Prof. Naglaa Gamil delivered a scientific lecture entitled “Integrating Modern Drug Delivery Systems in Phytochemistry and Herbal Medicine: Nanotechnological Strategies to Improve Anticancer Natural Product Bioavailability.” Her presentation focused on advanced formulation strategies using natural products to enhance bioavailability and effectively target cancer cells through modern drug delivery and nanotechnological approaches. The talk attracted strong engagement and interaction from the audience, reflecting the high relevance and scientific impact of the topic.

Dr. Zahraa Khalifa also contributed to the scientific program of the conference through her presentation entitled “Artificial Intelligence Across the Drug Discovery Pipeline: From Molecule to Market.” Her talk highlighted AI applications across the R&D pipeline, starting from target identification through genomic data analysis, moving through virtual screening and formulation design, and extending to its integration into clinical trial outcome prediction and personalized medicine. The session also offered valuable insights into key ethical, regulatory, and technical considerations.

The conference organizers expressed their great appreciation for the valuable contributions of the DMU faculty members. Their participation highlights the importance of continuous faculty engagement in international scientific conferences to enhance academic visibility, research collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
