The MedEd AI Research Lab at Dubai Medical University is an advanced innovation and research hub dedicated to transforming healthcare education through Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning (ML), Big Data analytics, and emerging digital technologies. The lab focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of AI-powered educational ecosystems, including AI Virtual Tutors, AI Virtual Patients, adaptive learning systems, VR/AR-enabled classrooms, metaverse-based collaborative learning environments, and intelligent assessment platforms. It also supports cutting-edge research in machine learning models for healthcare prediction, big data-driven educational analytics, clinical decision support systems, predictive analytics, smart hospital technologies, interoperability in digital health, and precision medicine.
A major area of focus within the lab is the integration of Big Data and Machine Learning into healthcare education and research.
